If you're not prepared, air travel can be a real challenge. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips for a pain-free start to your time in Kommeno Bay.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good book. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and take a cardigan in case it gets cool. Opt for a pair of flat, well-fitting shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the journey. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your checked luggage.
- A condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a pair of compression socks is also recommended.
