We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and having a ball in Külitse in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, travel documents, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a phone crammed with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your aircraft are not the best place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and remember to bring a sweater as the temperature can drop inside the cabin during longer flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a wise idea.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-haul flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
