If you're not prepared, air travel can be a real challenge. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips for a stress-free start to your vacation in Kunya. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
