We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be zooming through the airport and seeing the best of La Costa in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, important documents, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop filled with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you arrive at your destination looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Opt for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
