Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of top travel tips that will help get your La Folie escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare set of clothes and a good book. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to take a sweater in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Most travelers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your lower limbs often.
