Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of essential travel tips that will help get your La Romieu vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack your passport, travel docs, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive at your destination looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a smart option, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-haul flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
