Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Laadla could be simple and straightforward or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some useful hints that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right things. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and go for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
