Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy tips that will get your Lander vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, put in your passport, official ID, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you hope to take a quick snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive at your destination looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object lurking in your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when choosing what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
