Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will get your Liberty vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a pleasure if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and go for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
