If you're not prepared, air travel can be daunting. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a stress-free start to your time in Lloyd. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
