Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Maidan could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've compiled some handy tips that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, travel documents, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
