Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. Follow these handy tips and tricks that will get your Majdal al-Shams vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right things. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by dressing in layers, and wear flat, slightly roomy footwear like slip-ons.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
