Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Marck vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you carry the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good novel. Next, make room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The best way to ensure a comfortable flight is often as simple as your clothing choices. Prepare for changes in temperature by bringing layers. That way you'll stay nice and warm if the cabin begins to cool down. Shoes like sandals and heels are best left in your checked suitcase. Even though they may be your favorites, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like sneakers. Your feet will appreciate it.
- It's likely you've heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are plenty of ways to lower your risk. Don a pair of compression socks, stay hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Walk the aisles of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
