If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be challenging. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a stress-free start to your vacation in Mex. What to pack in your hand luggage:

• Security personnel first need to know that you have a valid ID and travel documents before you're allowed to proceed any further. Have them ready to show.

• Airlines won't allow any pocket knives or other sharp items in your hand luggage. If you must bring these kinds of items, pack them safely in your checked luggage.
