Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy tips that will get your Monico vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by wearing layers, and opt for flat, enclosed shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
