If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be daunting. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips for a stress-free start to your time in Muara Enim. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you take the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be the goal when picking what to wear on your flight. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen ankles and feet are quite common. Roomy, closed-toed shoes work well.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-distance flying is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help minimize this risk.
