Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Mungar Junction could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be easy if you carry the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be the goal when selecting what to wear on your flight. Consider your choice of footwear carefully too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy work well.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long-haul is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help lower your risk.
