Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Na Khu could be completely stress-free or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some handy hints that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, official ID, wallet and medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are good options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive at your destination feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
