No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. Follow these handy travel tips that will get your Namibe vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and go for shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
