Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Nesscliffe could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've put together some handy tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) hiding in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by layering up, and opt for flat, enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
