Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Nová Dedinka could be no sweat at all or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, your important medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of a plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and remember to take a cardigan as the temperature can drop inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are always a good idea too.
- A condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a pair of compression socks or tights also helps reduce the risk.
