Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organized. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Orapa vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items can differ between airlines, the general guide to follow is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes box cutters, razor blades, aerosol cans and flares. Sporting equipment like ice skates, and objects that could harm other people, such as swords and batons, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
