If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be challenging. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips for a trouble-free start to your time in Orscholz. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be easy if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good book. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your priority when picking what to wear on your flight. Consider your choice of footwear carefully too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are quite common. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are your best bet.
- You've probably heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There's plenty you can do to lower your risk. Wear compression socks or tights, stay well hydrated and move your legs and feet. Do a lap or two of the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
