Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're prepared. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Paradise vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some fantastic options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Most travelers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
