We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight an enjoyable experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and enjoying Paris before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack in your passport, travel documents, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favorite shows are some great options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and go for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to take on and off.
- The result of sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers on long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
