Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Pencoed could be as easy as pie or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right stuff. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Consider your footwear carefully too, as swollen feet can be a side effect of flying. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-distance travel is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this, make the most of every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help lower your risk.
