Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Pleubian escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack in your passport, travel docs, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you hope to take a short snooze, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your feet and legs moving.
