No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Podduby vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, official ID, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop crammed with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you plan to take a quick snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to bring a jacket in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- The result of sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
