We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and discovering Pontejos in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, important documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a phone crammed with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
