Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy tips that will get your Pruské vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, travel documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a laptop crammed with your favorite shows are always good options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
