We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our top tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and having a blast in Rabal in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you've got all the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and take a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin during long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also recommended.
- A serious condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing foot and leg exercises while seated helps to prevent this happening. Wearing a high-quality pair of compression tights or socks can also help.
