Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Ricobayo could be no sweat at all or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some useful tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a great experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pack a cardigan as the temperature can drop in the cabin. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a sensible choice.
- You've probably heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are many ways to lessen your risk. Wear a pair of compression socks or tights, stay well hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
