Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well organized. We've put together a list of top travel tips that will help get your Rodern escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a pleasure if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by dressing in layers, and pick closed-toe, flat shoes like slip-ons.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers on long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
