Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Roquefort could be simple and straightforward or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
