No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Rumah Jampi escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you carry the right stuff. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be the goal when picking what to wear on board. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen feet and ankles can be a side effect of flying. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. But the good news is there are ways to reduce your risk of developing it. Stay well hydrated, wander through the cabin whenever possible and wear compression tights or socks.
