No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will get your Salzbergen vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, important documents, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a laptop crammed with your favorite shows are some wonderful options. If you hope to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items to ensure you touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
