If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be challenging. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips for a stress-free start to your getaway in São Félix do Araguaia. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and choose shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your legs and feet moving.
