No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips that will help get your Seal Cove vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, put in your passport, official ID, cash and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favorite shows are some great options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll step off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and opt for shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
