Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Sector 4 could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some handy hints that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between airlines, the general rule of thumb is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, blades, fuels and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like bows and arrows, and objects that could harm passengers, such as pepper spray and firearms, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Opt for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to take a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
