Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're prepared. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Sjörup escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a great experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Next, leave space in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and opt for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and move your lower limbs often.
