We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and seeing the best of South Range in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you take the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
