Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Spartia could be completely painless or it could drag on forever. We've rounded up some tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, put in your passport, travel docs, cash and medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a laptop crammed with your favorite shows are some great options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
