We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a blast in Stockholm before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, put in your passport, official ID, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a phone crammed with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you plan to catch forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- The result of sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
