No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy tips that will get your Tamazrat vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick slip-on footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
