We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through the airport and enjoying Theletra in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, travel documents, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are good options. If you hope to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between air carriers, the general guide to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes screwdrivers, knives, fuel and fireworks. Sporting equipment like hockey sticks, and objects that could harm passengers, such as pepper spray and firearms, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and remember to bring a cardigan as it can get chilly in the cabin. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a wise idea.
- Unfortunately, one risk of flying long distances is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
