Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organized. We've put together a list of handy tips that will help get your Tinchi escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
