No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organized. We've put together a list of handy tips that will get your Tuntum escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack in your passport, important documents, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a laptop crammed with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you intend to catch a few z's, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you step off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and go for shoes that are flat and easy to remove.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your lower limbs often.
