If you're not prepared, traveling can be testing. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a worry-free start to your vacation in Vargas. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by wearing layers, and opt for easy-to-remove shoes like sneakers.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
