Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy hints that will help get your Velez-Blanco escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, blades, fireworks and fuel. Sports equipment like hockey sticks, and items that could harm other people, such as swords and guns, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
