We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and seeing the best of Wald in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a worry-free travel experience is to pack in advance. So, let's start with the basics: passport, travel documents, cash and daily medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you entertained, like some electronic devices or a few magazines. It's also wise to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, be sure to squeeze in toiletry items like a toothbrush, lip balm and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable substances, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your aircraft are not the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and bring a cardigan as the temperature can drop in the cabin during long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are always a good choice too.
- The serious condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Walking up and down the aisle and doing foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a good pair of compression socks is also recommended.
